The Crochet Express National Crochet Month Blog Tour
Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)
Jennifer Pionk, A Crocheted Simplicity
Crochetville is very proud to have designer Jennifer Pionk with us today as one of the featured designers on our 2016 Designer Blog Tour in honor of National Crochet Month (NatCroMo). If you’d like to know even more about Jennifer, check out our post from last year’s blog tour.
Nestled in the woods, along a river in Michigan’s Upper Penninsula lives a girl and her yarn. Just 4 short years ago Jennifer Pionk had no idea what the difference was between crochet hooks and knitting needles, but since then she has independently published over 150 original crochet designs and has been published in books and magazines. A self-taught crafter since birth, she is continuously exploring new techniques in crochet or putting her own unique spin on the classics. She has many exciting things in store this year and can’t wait to teach you a new technique or two along the way. Jennifer is a SAHM/WAHM of 4, grandmother of 3, supportive wife to her favorite civil engineer, former residential home designer, and avid collector of yarn and buttons. When she’s not crocheting, Jennifer enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, reading, running and hiking…..and crocheting!

A Few of Jennifer’s Designs:
“Boho Chic” Mosaic Tote Bag, $5.00
Inspired by the boho/gypsy craze, the “Boho Chic” Mosaic Tote Bag takes an old technique and puts a fresh spin on it!
The latest in my “Knit-Look” collection, the infinity stitch cowl is stylish, function and warm and a perfect gift for all ages. This design uses a stitch pattern that I’ve designed and includes over 20 minutes of video instruction!
“Summer Waves” Sunhat, $5.00
The “Summer Waves” Sunhat uses a stitch pattern that was designed by me. The texture of this design is simple yet sophisticated.
