The Crochet Express National Crochet Month Blog Tour
Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)
Crochetville is very proud to have 3 Kittens Needle Arts with us today as one of the featured local yarn stores on our 2016 Designer Blog Tour in honor of National Crochet Month (NatCroMo)..

About 3 Kittens Needle Arts:
Welcome all Yarnies!
At 3 Kittens Needle Arts, we believe that if you love yarn and playing with it, you are one of us! Crochet, knitting, needlepoint, and rigid heddle weaving are our passion!
From Beginning Crochet classes (running multiple times throughout the year) to twice a month Crochet Studios where participants bring their own projects and socialize with other crocheters while receiving expert assistance from the Studio’s instructor, 3 Kittens supports skill-building among our crochet population. What is better than crocheting your first project? How about having a cowl that you made in your very first class that you can wear proudly?
This summer, we are introducing the Crochet Tool Kit – a four session series of 1-hr classes to introduce some of the “tools” of the craft. Join us for Build a Foundation… Crochet, The Post Always Rings Twice, Cross the (Crochet) Finish Line, and Tunisian or Not Tunisian. Shelley, our resident crochet expert, will help you build your personal Tool Kit with these fun, quick classes.
One of the events we do every year is the Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop in April. We always create a special crochet pattern for this event. We work with a hand-dyer to create an exclusive Shop Hop yarn which is then used in our pattern. Last year’s pattern, the Gustav Cowl, was a #1 Hot Right Now pattern on Ravelry. The pattern is still available at 3 Kittens or on Ravelry. We can’t reveal what this year’s pattern will be, but make sure to visit our store during the Shop Hop, April 7-10. If you can’t make it to the store, our exclusive crochet pattern will be available on Ravelry starting April 11.
Finally, I encourage all of you to look to The National Needlearts Association (TNNA) to help you find Local Yarn Stores in your area or while you are traveling. The stores that are members of TNNA are truly looking for ways to serve our customers in the best way possible. (And, if you’re a designer, teacher or store owner yourself, you should definitely consider joining TNNA. It’s a great resource!)
