A-Glamping We Will Go: 5th Annual National Crochet Month Blog Tour
Welcome to Crochetville’s fifth annual National Crochet Month (NatCroMo) blog tour, taking place each day of March 2017. Join us for a month of virtual glamping (aka glamorous camping), as we visit crochet designers, crochet-friendly local yarn stores, and yarn companies, as well as offer some fun giveaways.

Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of glamping is the daily round-up around the campfire, chatting and stitching with friends. We hope you’ll join us in our NatCroMo Facebook group, where we’ll be sharing daily camping recipes, campfire songs about crochet, and so much more! We’d also love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

About Chain Link Conference
CGOA’s Chain Link conference is the absolute best crochet conference you can possibly attend. You will be able to take classes from most of the best nationally-recognized crochet instructors, see the newest and best crochet merchandise on the show floor, take part in fun crochet activities, hang out in the crochet lounge, and make new friends from all over the country and even from across the world.
I’ve attended the conference every year since 2008. Some years, I was there in my position as a board member or as president of CGOA. In more recent years, both Donna and I have been there to run the Crochetville vendor booth and to host some fun evening events.
One of our favorite things about our vendor booth is that we are able to talk to so many conference attendees about their current crochet projects and what they’re doing and enjoying at the conference. We don’t have a chance to take many classes or hang out in the crochet lounge, but visitors to our booth tell us all about them, so we can live vicariously a little bit.
My other favorite thing is to catch up with all my designer and CGOA member friends. It’s the one time each year when we’re all gathered in the same place. We share meals, drinks in the evening, and spend time crocheting whenever we can.
Since the location is being held just outside of Chicago, it’s only a day’s drive for many people. Grab some friends to go with you, plan to share a room, and go on a road trip. A long drive is made much for fun when you have friends to share it with you. Personally, I’ll be driving a 9-foot cargo van full of inventory. I may or may not have a friend to share the ride with me: I’m hoping I can convince Jenny King to fly in and out of Nashville, so I can pick her up on my way and we can spend the next 10 hours catching up on each other’s lives! I have a feeling she’ll prefer to fly straight into Chicago, so I may be looking to pick up a fellow crocheter along my way from Huntsville, AL to Itasca, IL.
