A-Glamping We Will Go: 5th Annual National Crochet Month Blog Tour
Welcome to Crochetville’s fifth annual National Crochet Month (NatCroMo) blog tour, taking place each day of March 2017. Join us for a month of virtual glamping (aka glamorous camping), as we visit crochet designers, crochet-friendly local yarn stores, and yarn companies, as well as offer some fun giveaways.
Today’s Posts: Michelle Ferguson | Lena Fedotova
Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of glamping is the daily round-up around the campfire, chatting and stitching with friends. We hope you’ll join us in our NatCroMo Facebook group, where we’ll be sharing daily camping recipes, campfire songs about crochet, and so much more! We’d also love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

Michelle Ferguson, Two Brothers Blankets
Crochetville is very proud to have designer Michelle Ferguson of Two Brothers Blankets with us today, March 8, as one of the featured designers on our 2017 Designer Blog Tour in honor of National Crochet Month (NatCroMo). If you’d like to know even more about Michelle, check out our post from last year’s blog tour.
About Michelle:
I am a wife and mom who works from home full-time designing crochet patterns. I’ve been crocheting for 5 years and designing for 3 years. I design patterns for every member of the family, including clothing, accessories, and home decor! My work has been published in several issues of Happily Hooked Magazine, and I’m a 3-time contender of Battle of the Stitches. When I’m not crocheting, I love to spend my time outdoors playing with my sons and my dogs.
Do you crochet in public? If so, when and where?
Yes, sometimes. I bring my work with me if I know I’m going to have to be waiting somewhere for a while.
Do you have a special place at home where you crochet? Tell us about it.
I take up nearly the whole couch with my crochet! I sit on the cushion closest to the end table where all my hooks and notions stay.
Share the story of your favorite thing you’ve ever crocheted or designed.
One of my favorite designs is the Siesta Sweater. It’s chic and flattering and can be worn in almost any season!
How do you decide what to name your patterns?
I first named my patterns after people I know. Recently I’ve started naming my patterns after cities around the world.
Tell us about your most popular pattern.
My most popular pattern is the Katie Cardi. I think it’s such a hit because it’s so versatile and can be worn by anyone in any way they prefer.
Tell us about your favorite camping location.
We don’t camp much but as a child we camped near a local lake often. I loved it there and would love to camp there again!
Tell us about any crochet items you take to “glam up” your camping experience.
Got to have s’mores!
