Perhaps you’ve wanted to try making crochet jewelry in the past but you were intimated by working with wire. Never fear! Karen has created her designs using materials that will seem much more familiar to you: DMC Metallic pearl cotton and metallic elastic cord. Both of these are readily available in your local craft stores.
Some designs require the use of jewelry components such as clasps, eye pins, and end cones and jewelry-making tools such as chain-nose and round-nose pliers and wire cutters. These items are also readily available in your local craft or bead store. Karen realizes that many crocheters may be very new to jewelry-making, so she has provided detailed instructions and illustrations on how to use these tools to make your projects look their best.
Whether you’re new to making jewelry, crocheting, or both, you will be able to use the projects in this booklet to make fabulous jewelry that anyone would be proud to wear. Handmade, custom jewelry is a wonderful way to make a special occasion even more memorable. Every time the jewelry is worn in the future, it will bring back fond memories of both the event and the person who made the jewelry!
