March 12: A Tour Through Crochet Country

You’ve dropped in on our 12th day of A Tour through Crochet Country, Crochetville’s blog tour celebrating National Crochet Month 2013. Today we’re visiting crochet designers Pam Daley and Deb Burger.

Pam Daley has self-published over 70 patterns. She has also designed for major yarn suppliers. Pam is also a long-time Crochetville member, a cancer survivor, and currently on hiatus from being a full-time RVer. Her patterns include many adorable baby and child accessories as well as adult accessories, especially those for your hands and feet. If you enjoy fingerless mitts, Pam has several to choose from.

This darling Garden Party Sun Hat is one of Pam’s patterns for children.

Deb Burger is an artist, teacher, and public speaker. She is the author of Crochet 101, and the upcoming book 100 Crochet Appliques, which is scheduled for May 2013. In addition to crochet, Deb also does knitting, quilting, painting, writing, mixed-media collage, and folk singing. Deb says, “I believe in having fun, spreading random beauty and kindness, and encouraging others whenever and wherever possible.”

Deb’s Entrelac Baby Blanket is alive with color!

I always appreciate designs that celebrate the crochet chain. I think Deb’s Bamboo Chains Capelet is a versatile design that you could dress up or down.
