The 2014 Designer Blog Tour in honor of National Crochet Month continues today with a visit to crochet designer Kathryn White.
Kathy is a long-time member of the Crochetville social community website (you’ll see here there as Katchkan) and, more importantly, an award-winning crochet designer. She loves doing doilies, shawls and other crochet designs. She has been published in many magazines and has patterns published on the Red Heart/AuntLydia’s site. You’ll also find many of Kathy’s newest patterns at the Mainly Crochet subscription-based website. Kathy says, “Crochet is my passion in life and I love sharing it with others.”
I remember meeting Kathy on the Crochetville website shortly after I found it myself. From the very beginning, everyone was in awe of her mad skills with crochet thread and beads. We knew then that she had amazing talent and deserved to be very famous one day!

On CGOA:
Kathy is a professional member of CGOA (Crochet Guild of America), and she has this to share about her CGOA experience:
I enjoy being a Member of CGOA for the conectivity that I have enjoyed since joining. I have made so many long distance friends that I truly treasure. I love going to the Chain Link each year and getting the chance to talk with and confer with my fellow crocheters. Bouncing ideas and sharing solutions to things that affect me and my designing with fellow designers is a plus.
