NatCroMo2014b

The 2014 Designer Blog Tour in honor of National Crochet Month continues today with a visit to crochet designer Jennifer E. Ryan of Celtic Knot Crochet.

Jennifer E Ryan

Jennifer E Ryan is an award-winning published crochet designer who teaches crochet in her hometown.  Her crochet designs can be seen in publications, such as:  Crochet Today!, Crochet!, Interweave Crochet and at www.redheart.com.   These designs range from jewelry to women’s garments, from children’s toys to large car accessories.  Jennifer’s specialty is combining Celtic Knots with crochet.  She won 2nd place in the Fashion Category for her unique garments in the CGOA’s Design Competition 2012 and 2013.  She enjoys working with alternative fibers and all of the creative possibilities there are with large scale “yarn graffiti”.  In May 2013 she designed and implemented a successful large-scale community yarn art project with the Currier Museum of Art.  You can see all of her work at: www.celticknotcrochet.blogspot.com.

On CGOA:

Jennifer is a professional member of CGOA (Crochet Guild of America), and she has this to share about her CGOA experience:

Being a member of CGOA has been wonderful. Through CGOA I have met many talented and generous crocheters who enjoy sharing their knowledge, experiences and love of crochet.  Because of CGOA I learned how to become a designer, have been able to be a part of a great design competition and have made friends from all over the country who share my passion for crochet.  CGOA offers many great resources on-line but for me the best resources are the real-life people who you get to meet at the annual events.
