The Crochet Express National Crochet Month Blog Tour
Welcome to Crochetville’s fourth annual National Crochet Month (NatCroMo) blog tour, taking place each day of March 2016. Join us as we take a virtual tour on our passenger steam train, The Crochet Express, visiting crochet designers, crochet-friendly local yarn stores, and yarn companies, and offer some fun giveaways.

Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

About String Theory:
String Theory is a treasure trove of organic, fair trade and artisan yarns. Let us help you pick out the perfect yarn for your next project, then join us around the table for community stitching. Read all about us in Vogue Knitting magazine.
At String Theory we focus on the good stuff: artisan-quality yarns that make any crochet project a masterpiece.
Most of our yarns have a great story behind them. Stop by for a visit and you’ll see yarns that support:
- Small farms and mills in the United States
- Women’s Cooperatives that provide an opportunity for impoverished women to feed their families and send their children to school
- Environmentally-friendly companies that limit their use of harmful chemicals, precious water, and petroleum
- Companies that have worked hard to achieve Fair Trade Certification
- Artists who paint yarn instead of canvas
Throughout the store, you’ll find project samples to inspire you and a computer available for you to browse Ravelry if you need more ideas. We also highlight crochet patterns on our blog and our Facebook page.
Everyone who works at String Theory knows the crochet basics. Kathy, our resident expert, is here Tuesday and Friday mornings and Thursday afternoons to help you with the trickier bits.
If you find the calm and focus of a class environment works best for you, schedule a private lesson with Kathy. Or sign up for any of these classes:
Little Sister Hat starting March 3
Kristen’s Pick Your Project class that meets almost every Tuesday evening Kristen is a master of both tunisian and regular crochet and will help you learn whatever you need for your current project.
Crocheters are welcome at String Theory. We have yarn, expertise and inspiration just for you. We want to see what you are working on!
