Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

Kinga Erdem, My Hobby is Crochet
Crochetville is very proud to have designer Kinga Erdem with us today as one of the featured designers on our 2016 Designer Blog Tour in honor of National Crochet Month (NatCroMo).
About Kinga:
My name is Kinga and I’m the Crochet Designer and Blogger behind My Hobby is Crochet Blog. Although I learned how to crochet in my childhood, I only discovered my great passion for crochet a couple of years ago.
Crochet has brought much joy to my life; I have made many crochet friends and I enjoy exchanging ideas with people from all around the world.
My blog focuses on offering original free crochet patterns and tutorials.
Tell us about your favorite travel destination.
I loved our trip to Bodrum, in Turkey. This was my first holiday at sea as an adult. It was all very exciting; I loved the places, the weather, the sea, the food….simply everything.
Tell us about a “dream” travel location that you’d like to visit one day.
A journey to Maldives would be fantastic, but I don’t think I will ever be able to fulfil this dream! But who knows? Life is full of surprises, isn’t it? Never stop dreaming!
Do you visit yarn stores when traveling? If so, tell us about one of your favorite finds.
I don’t travel very much lately, because of my 2 small kids and my baby girl.
Shopping for yarn surrounded by 3 kids can be quite challenging. That’s why I prefer buying yarn online. But whenever I get a chance I love going into a yarn shop to “feel” the yarn before I buy it.
Packing: Tell us about any crochet clothing or accessories you pack when traveling. Do you have any really cool packing tips to share?
No matter what, I always have one of my Thread Headbands (http://www.myhobbyiscrochet.com/2013/08/thread-headband-free-pattern-and.html) with me; at home or when traveling. I don’t feel right without a headband, because my hair would fall into my eyes. The other accessories I won’t forget to pack in the summer are Cotton Crochet Sun Hats (http://www.myhobbyiscrochet.com/2013/06/crochet-cotton-summer-babytoodler-hat.html) for me and my kids.
