Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

About A Good Yarn Sarasota:
A Good Yarn Loves Crochet!
Over the years, we’ve welcomed stitchers, spinners and weavers of all persuasions into our friendly little shop in Sarasota, Florida. Both our customers and staff are passionate learners, and our extensive class offerings each month reflect just that: in addition to knitting, spinning and weaving topics, we’ve held classes on various crochet techniques, from beginner to advanced – and now we have a new dedicated class & event space!
Past class topics have included the basics of crochet, understanding crochet symbols, crocheting with wire and beads, and even Tunisian Crochet. We also frequently host Crochet Clinic sessions, which allow our customers to get in-depth assistance for any crochet project that is confounding them so that they can get back to stitching!
Our resident instructor, Susie Marro, is also the owner of Susan Elizabeth Creations, LLC, where she creates boutique quality crochet accessories using exquisite yarns. To us, it’s important to have someone on staff who has an extensive background in crochet so that they can help customers select the right yarn, tools and patterns for their skill level. Speaking of patterns, we also enjoy sharing our love of crochet over on Pinterest, where we pin our favorite crochet project inspiration, patterns and tutorials. Some of our favorite projects have been crocheted with our exclusive Purl Diver Collection yarns, such as this simple shawl recently shared here on the Welford Purls blog using our Sea Turtle colorway, or this pretty lace shawl featured here on the Illuminate Crochet blog using our Cabbage Patch colorway.
From all of us at A Good Yarn Sarasota, happy National Crochet Month!
