Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

About Common Threads Yarn Shop:
Common Threads Yarn Shop is located in downtown High Point, NC. We offer many quality yarns from Cascade, Berroco, Malabrigo, and Sirdar, in addition to others. We have both knitting needles and crochet hooks from Knitters Pride, Tulip, Hiya Hiya and Chiao Goo. Check out our web site for our current classes in both knitting and crochet. If the shop is open, we invite you to join us and bring your current project to work on.
Our shop faces North Main Street and offers many parking places both in front of the shop and behind the shop. Once inside the shop, we have a large table in addition to a couch and love seat for you to join us in working on your current project. Our shop employees are well-versed in both knit and crochet, and we even have a left-handed crocheter on staff who would be happy to help you learn to crochet left-handed if that is what you need!
We are definitely a crochet-friendly shop, and have an open crochet night every Monday night (come rain or shine) from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. We offer crochet classes with Wendi Cusins, a published crochet designer and pattern editor, in beginning and advanced crochet projects and techniques. We also carry crochet books and crochet hooks from Knitters Pride and Tulip.
In addition all of our shop employees are both crochet and knit friendly and can help you with a problem on your project.
