Want to Chat about the Tour?

Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

  4. Well, since I participated in it, I liked getting the exposure, as well as “meeting” so many other talented designers. I liked the addition of the yarn stores, but noticed they all seemed to be in the Midwest and Southeast. When I travel I like to make note of where the yarn stores are, so that I can seek them out if they are near my route, so information on yarn stores is always appreciated. The give-aways were fantastic!

  5. I enjoyed the combination of giveaways, designer features and fiber arts stores. Each day there was something new to learn, fun discoveries, new blogs to visit . . . my world of fiber arts grew like a garden in spring!!! And I most appreciated the community, the togetherness of it all. Everyone encouraging and each unique in their approach and yet connected . . . freeform . . . a whole month of food for thought and reenergizing!!! Thank you. Sincerely, thank you!

  8. My favourite thing about the blog tour was reading what designers bring as projects when they travel. I am always racking my brain trying to figure out what to bring, how much, etc and always end up with one lonely project that I get bored of in a few days (I am a girl of few WIPs). I thought those tips were helpful and I can’t wait for my next trip to implement what I learned!

  17. The mercenary part of me really liked the free patterns and discounts, since that gave me an opportunity to acquire patterns I might normally have been unable to fit into the budget. 😉 But I also really liked learning more about the designers, and discovering more designers to keep an interested eye on! Special to this year, I really enjoyed the profiles of the LYSs, even though none of them are near where I live–it’s something to keep an eye out for when I travel! Thanks so much for hosting the Crochet Express!

  33. I liked getting to know more crochet stars in the online world….I am a person who spends a lot of time home alone due to medical conditions and this gave me lots of new stuff to learn , to read and wow what amazing talents. So nice to see so many artists come together to broaden the knowledge of fiber arts and crochet and all its creativity. Loved this year, so far the best of all years. Thx for having so many contests and so many links.

  36. This year’s tour featured designers of whom I’d never heard along with some of my favorite crocheters. My favorite part was finding out about them, reading their stories, downloading their (lucious! Thank you all!!!) patterns, and bookmarking their information for later investigation. I also found out about quite a few LYS that I just may have the opportunity to visit when I’m out of town. This is the first year I have been able to check every day on the tour, and I loved each minute of it! Thank you to Amy and Donna at Crochetville, and everyone who joined! Have a wonderful remainder of 2016!!!
