Want to Chat about the Tour?
Part of the fun of taking a passenger steam train trip is talking with your fellow passengers. This year, we’re providing two locations where our passengers can get to know each other. We’d love to hear about your favorite things you’ve discovered on the tour and see photos of your current crochet projects. You’re invited to join us daily for virtual cocktails/appetizers and dinner. (We’ll be sharing links to some fabulous recipes!)

No, never… but it’s yummmmmmy!!!
I’m not sure if I’ve seen one that big. Love the color! Hope I win! 🙂
This yarn is so beautiful.
I am truly enjoying this NatCroMo Crochet Express.
So many amazing and talented yarn artists!
No, I have not seen a skein that big personally!
I love the colors of that yarn!
No, I haven’t; that’s definitely a lot of yards!
I’m lucky if I spin 300 yds at on time. That’s huge.
Not often have I seen a skein this large, but a few times I have at yarn shops. The colors in this yarn are gorgeous and calling out to be hooked up into one extra large or two smaller Summer Fruit Shawls!
Oh I love this yarn!
No. Fat
Haven’t seen a skein of art yarn so large; fantastic!
That yarn is gorgeous!
What a generous amount of yarn….. would love to make a shawl with the beautiful color… Thanks for your gift to someone….
Not that I can remember offhand–I like the idea of having all the necessary yarn right there in one skein.
I Loooovvvvveeeee Interlacement yarns! I buy more than one skein at a time. I made the Fiesta Skirt from Margaret Hubert and her daughter’s Racerback top with Rick Rack yarn and wore it at a CGOA conference. You can’t beat the price for that yarn quality & quantity.
I have not seen a skein that large before.
Never one this large and love this color!!
No, I have never seen a skein that big, but the color is luscious and it will make one glorious shawl.
I think I have.
I don’t think I’ve seen a skein that big. The color is beautiful.
this yarn is just georgous!
This yarn is so yummy. I recently purchased my first Tunisian hooks and would love to use this yarn for my first pattern. Thank you for opportunity.
NO! I’ve never seen a skein of yarn that large.
I have not had a bulk that contained this much yarn. The most I’ve had is around 800 yards.
Delicious looking and, I’ll bet, delicious feeling yarn! And another hot-climate-friendly yarn! The shawl pattern is so elegant, and I recently order a set of tunisian hooks to start learning. Thanks so much for this opportunity!
Yes, I have seen a skein of yarn this big… Very rare find!
I have – it was one of the first hanks I ever purchased. I had no idea how to wind it and stupidly attempted to do so. I had a HUGE mess and it took me hours to straighten it out. I won but the dogs learned some new expletives!
Yes, I have seen a skein of big yarn before but it didn’t have a label so maybe I was wrong. The colors of the yarn make me think summer.
Beautiful yarn!
Oh, yes! I have some yarn I bought from a weaving organization – hand dyed rayon/silk that was 1200yds. Crochet uses so much more yarn than knitting I am always on the hunt for XL skeins.
Biggest I have seen are the 1lb balls. Not sure how many yards it is.
Actually I have seen this particular yarn in person but don’t remember if it was this colorway. Also YE used to carry some rather large skeins. Fun to work with such large skeins because you can get a whole garment or several accessories from one skein. Great for people like me who like to do accessories in matching sets.
No I have never seen a skein that large. I love the color. This Blog Tour has been great so many talented artist.
No, and it looks fantastic!!
No! Wow! The biggest skien I have ever used was a little over 800 yards . . . and this yarn of such a large yardage is so so pretty . . . I love the bright cheery color way!!!! A shawl would look so lovely!
I have never seen skein of yarn that large. Oh the joys it could bring me.
OM Gosh!! That will make an amazing shawl … thanks for the opportunity to win that yumminess 🙂
Only in thread! 🙂 What a fantastic prize!!
This yarn looks SO scrumptious!!! I don’t get to use special yarn much at all, so I would LOVE this!
the yarn looks so beautiful. i can imagine what a gorgeous shawl it can make!
I have had a skein that big before. It was a gorgeous orange and white hand painted yarn. And a GREAT amount of yarn!
I’ve seen cones of weaving yarn this big, but not gorgeous hand dyed yarn!
This yarn is beautiful!
thank you for the chance to win these great giveaways
No never!
That is an insane amount of yarn on one skein!!!
Yes, I have occasionally been able to find very large hanks of yarn. I love crocheting a big, intricate shawl pattern and then only having two ends to weave in when I’m done.
Beautiful yarn
That is HUGE yardage! I’ve never seen that much before unless it came on a cone. Think of all the less ends that need to be woven in.
The largest skeins of yarn I’ve seen are those one pound balls of craft yarn you can get at the big box or chain craft stores. However I don’t know if there’s 1200 yards in those balls; that’s a lot of yarn! I’ve certainly never seen this much of an art yarn in one hank. The color is pretty, too.
great blog
WOW! I’ve never seen a skein of yarn that large! I’d love to be able to see it close up..*hint , hint*..
Oh my goodness! The longest I’ve seen is the pound of love and caron pound yarns but they arent nearly as pretty as this ! This yarn is absolutely stunning!
No. never! It would be awesome to win and see it in my sweet little hands 😀
The largest skein I’ve seen is Drops lace at about 900 yds. This is huge!
I can’t imagine how big that size of skein is compared tothe smaller ones I usually buy. Hope I win so I can find out for myself. Picture is a beautiful color.
Yes, I have seen a skein this large before but not very often!
I am very familiar with their yarns. I actually just finished a shawl from her Woollee yarn http://www.ravelry.com/projects/yarning4asmile/summer-flies-again . All of their bases have amazing yardage out ups.
I can’t imagine what 1200 yards looks like – you need something in the photo to show scale! It’s gorgeous yarn!
I have not seen one in person.
No, I have never seen a skein of yarn that had this much yarn before!
Yes, in laceweight.
not sure I have, but I would love to meet this one.
I have never seen a skein that big and love the color of it. Would love to try it. Thank you for a chance to win it.
I have never seen a yarn skein that huge, Maybe I will soon:)
