Review: Namaste Hermosa Bag

Last year, I happened to be looking at my Facebook newsfeed right when Namaste, Inc. announced a super-special 50% off sale on everything, for a very limited period of time (as in less than a day, I think!). Of course I ran right over to the website to see what was still available.

At that point, I really wanted the Monroe bag in eggplant. Unfortunately, it was sold out. So I moved on to my second choice: the Namaste Hermosa bag in eggplant. Luckily for me, it was still in stock!

This bag is HUGE, and the largest in the Namaste collection! Let me give you the details on it:

Colors: Black, eggplant, espresso, red (all with gray microsuede lining)

Materials:

Exterior: PVC-free, animal-friendly faux leather

Interior: PET gray microsuede (faux suede made from recycled plastic bottles)

Size: 18″ W x 14″ H x 7″ L with 10.5″ handles (top of bag to top of handle)

Price: $97.50

As you see in the photo up above, there is an outer pocket with two separate zippered pockets. The shorter pocket would be perfect for storing your ID and boarding pass when you need to access those things quickly and easily when you’re traveling by plane.

On the outer edge of the other side is a long, open pocket that can hold a book, a patter or magazine in upright position, or even an iPad. I prefer to store my iPad in this pocket with this bag, so it’s easily accessible and protected from all the other stuff I throw in my bag.

On the short edges of the bag, there is an open pocket on one side (which is perfect for a water bottle) and a closeable pocket on the other side.

The bag itself features one large open compartment with a magnetic closure (no zipper). On the inside, one side has a zippered pocket and the other side has two open pockets. Oh, looks like two stow-aways hid away for a trip to this consumer show: Crochetville’s mascots, Gauge the sheep and Swatch the alpaca.

You can really cram a lot of stuff into this bag with no problem at all. This is my bag of choice when I need to carry as much as I possibly can.
