Tulip Etimo Rose Crochet Hook Giveaway

First of all, I’d like to give a special thank-you to The Tulip Company for sponsoring the Crochet Guild of America‘s 2014 Design Competition. Thank you, Tulip!

I was able to thank the wonderful folks at Tulip personally when I attend the TNNA (The National Needlearts Association) industry trade show last weekend in Indianapolis. They even gave me two prizes for a giveaway!

My Brief Review:

I don’t have any of the Rose hooks, but I have a complete set of the standard Tulip Etimo aluminum hooks. These hooks glide like butter through every yarn I’ve ever used them with, and I’ve never had a problem with the hooks splitting any yarn. I also have the complete set of steel hooks. When I traveled to TNNA, I took my complete set of Etimo aluminum hooks with me, not knowing what yarn I might come across while there that was just begging me to swatch with it.

What We’re Giving Away

  1. Oooh…these hooks are pretty! My hands tend to ache so I have to have thicker handles. These would be perfect. Plus they are pink, my favorite color. 😀

  2. I also get achy hands/wrists, so the bigger handle is very appealing – not to mention how pretty these are! 🙂

  3. I’ve seen this type of hook and wondered if it would help me and my mom (who has arthritis) to continue to do what we love to do – crochet! This would be the perfect chance to try them and see for ourselves. 🙂

  7. These look just the job to help with my fibromyalgia. I use crochet to try and take my mind off the pain, but some days lose the battle to numbness and/or pins and needles

  12. I hear that they help greatly reduce the amount of pain felt when crocheting for long periods of time. Being 33 with arthritis (Army veteran), this would be such a God send!

  14. I like that Tulip crochet hooks can help eliminate the strain my hands go through during a marathon crocheting session. I also like that they don’t get caught in the plies of different yarns. (So frustrating when that happens.)
